The most valuable piece of technology in my life right now is my phone, and this is not just for the simple fact of social media or anything like that. My phone is light and compact enough to be carried around with me anywhere I go. My phone has my school email on it which is convenient for emailing professors or group members on the go and makes answering faster and easier. My phone is basically my second laptop I can use it to find information quickly and effortlessly. I store contacts in my phone along with messages to different people. While growing up the information and capabilities I use my phone for has changed, and it has changed with the environment I am in. Nicholas Carr a scholar who has beliefs that the internet and specifically google is making us as a race less intelligent and lazy.
My phone has turned into a life line now. Even if I don’t have my laptop in class I know that I can get to files quickly with the different apps like google docs, and power point apps. These make carrying around multiple binders and papers a thing of the past. You can also use your phone for multiple other things from pictures to texting to a flashlight. The phone is my multi tool, and it for sure gets used. My phone has memories on it that will outlast me by a long shot the things on your phone are there forever until you delete them. Your phone can also get you into trouble you never know what is going to happen and while texting about it like I said before the stuff on your phone doesn’t delete until you delete it. The stuff you say to someone is forever so while sending emails or text messages it is key to remember that this stuff is there forever.
